x4Trace has two types of blocks: the flow block and the order block.
The flow block is the box in the flow, and the order block is the row on the order's home page. The flow block is used to design the product flow, and the order block is used to design the resources and collect tracing data. These two types of blocks are connected. The flow block generates the order block, but you can have more order blocks. For instance, if you want to produce 100 parts in two steps, you can copy the order block and design 50-50 parts in the two order blocks on different dates.
How does a part pass a block?
A block has input and output ports. When a part passes the previous block, it will be on the input of the next block.
Two of the passed parts of the blocks are on the input of the green block.
If you open the block's "Conveyance," you can see what the input contains. Here, you can move the parts forward and backward.
If you have designed the resources for an order block, you can start the work process on the task. This process will work on the block's input. If the process wants to pass a product that is not on the input, the pass will be unavailable.
